Doing something special for mom on Mother’s Day is the best way to celebrate all of the love, support, guidance and care that a mother puts into raising her child. We’re sharing some simple Mother’s Day brunch ideas to celebrate mom.
After becoming a mom myself, I realize just how much time, effort and attention it takes! Although it’s important to appreciate mom every day (ahem to my family!), Mother’s Day is a great excuse to surprise her with something extra, just to let her know you’re thinking of her.
How to Host a Simple Mother’s Day Brunch
If you’re lucky enough to have your mother (or mothers) live near you, invite her over for a special morning bunch with coffee cocktails and treats!
I set out fruit, scones, doughnuts, brownies (that I embellished with a stencil and powdered sugar!) and made a delicious coffee cocktail, recipe below!
I’m sure with all you put mom through while growing up, she could use a good coffee cocktail!
Easy Mother’s Day Brunch Decorations
To personalize our morning brunch, I blew the dust off some old photos of her (haha, sorry mom!) to reminisce while celebrating her!
Mother’s Day Flowers
Flowers are everything for Mother’s Day! Use a local florist or order flowers online for decor and beautiful take-home presents for both moms! Here are some good online sources for Mother’s Day flower:
Easy DIY with Photos
We also did a quick DIY and added a photo of each mom to the front of the vase! This is such a simple way to add personalization to a Mother’s Day brunch.
Dig up an old photo of mom and using string, gently tie it to the front of the vase.
This is the perfect gift if you have a mom and mother-in-law who always say “Don’t get me anything”.
Mother’s Day Recipes
Since this is a simple Mother’s Day brunch, remember, you don’t have to make everything! Take advantage of local bakeries and farmers’ markets to buy fresh goodies and fruits and vegetables.
If you want to make one or two items for the brunch here are some good, easy recipes!
We’re also sharing an easy recipe for this banana macadamia nut coffee cocktail! It’s so good! See below!
