Homemade Ginger Syrup Recipe
1 1/2 cups fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
2 cups sugar
4 cups water

Directions
Peel and chop the ginger. Place all of the ingredients into a medium sauce pan and bring to a boil for 5 minutes, then reduce to a simmer on low heat for 1 hour. Strain the syrup (discard the ginger) into a bowl with a spout. Add in 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice. Using a funnel, pour syrup into medium sized glass jars. Tie or stick a label on it and enjoy!

Hi Eden, thanks so much for posting this recipe! Can you provide more detail on how long this syrup will last? Do we need to refrigerate the syrup so it doesn’t spoil? Thanks again! You are wonderful!

Hi Amanda!! You are so sweet! Thanks for the comment 🙂 The syrup lasts about a week in the fridge and it has to be refrigerated. Hope that helps! I will update the post too 🙂 XO
