Festive Holiday Punch with Peppermint

This is such a fun punch to make for the holidays! You wouldn’t think creamy eggnog and peppermint ice cream would go together, but they do and make a very Christmassy combo.

Candy Cane Punch Ingredients

Eggnog and club soda in large glass jars.

Crushed Candy Canes: A fun, decorative garnish that adds crunch and an extra peppermint boost.

Eggnog: Adds a creamy, rich base to the punch. Store-bought works perfectly for this recipe.

Peppermint Ice Cream: Brings a festive, minty flavor and helps to make the punch extra creamy and cold.

Peppermint Schnapps: Infuses the punch with a warm, minty kick, adding a bit of holiday spirit to each sip.

Club Soda: Provides a refreshing fizz that lightens the texture of the punch.

How to Make Candy Cane Punch

Pink peppermint ice cream being scooped out of a container.
  • Pour the eggnog and club soda into a punch bowl.
  • Add in peppermint schnapps (or leave it out if you’re making a non-alcoholic punch)
  • Scoop in 1/2 gallon candy cane ice cream.
  • Garnish the punch bowl with candy canes.
  • Wet the rim of the glasses and then dip into crushed candy canes to create a candy cane rim.

Non-Alcoholic Peppermint Punch

We all know Christmas is a time when we indulge in a tipple or two or three! If you want to make this a punch for kids, just leave out the peppermint schnapps! This punch is a great nonalcoholic alternative to boozy punches, so it really is crowd and kid-friendly!
