Tips for Decorating Your Home for Halloween

I’ve collected some fun items that I use to decorate with every year. Along with those, I also have a few staple items I also pick up on Amazon or at Target that I incorporate. I love decorating my house for Halloween and here are a few ways I do that:

  • Giant spiders are an easy and affordable way to decorate! I love to add them to the wall with Command strips.
  • Large skeletons have been part of my Halloween decor for years! Add them to a mantel or even place them sitting on chairs.
  • Spider webs are easy and cheap! They made wonderful decor indoors and out.
  • Switch out mugs with festive ones like pumpkins or cauldrons.
  • Festive pillows are easy to toss onto a couch and look so cute!

Where can I buy Halloween decorations?

Local Retail Shops

You can always score great things from local stores like Williams-Sonoma, Target, Joann Fabrics, Pottery Barn, World Market, and Home Goods.

Thrift Stores

We even set up an entire Halloween Bar using items from Savers Thrift Store! Thrift shops and antique stores are some of the best places to shop for Halloween. Goodwill has amazing deals on vases, glasses, old picture frames, and much more.

Where can I buy Halloween decorations online?

Shop party stores, Etsy, and larger retailers online for Halloween decorations. Here are a few of our favorite online stores for Halloween

For the most part, we’re drawn to charmingly “spooky” Halloween decorations rather than scary spooky. Also a mix of classic, yet modern and fun products.

We chose items that add just the right amount of spookiness, but will not make babies or toddlers gasp! Like these, Jack O‘ Lantern Luminaries are perfect for setting a not-so-scary atmosphere.

Have you ever watched a Halloween movie with a pumpkin flickering on a table? It’s the coziest feeling! We use battery-operated lights for these.
