We’re loving this Fig and Lavender Cold Brew coffee. To get through the crazy afternoons, Zan and I both have a coffee around 3pm every day and it’s something we always look forward to!

Lavender is one of my all time favorite flavors and scents for anything and everything… especially coffee!

How To Make This Easy Cold Brew Coffee with Fig and Lavender – Step By Step

Homemade Fig & Lavender Simple Syrup

  • Bring to the ingredients to a simmer until sugar dissolves. Let it sit and infuse for 30 minutes before straining into a bowl.

Fog & Lavender Cold Brew

  • Add all of the ingredients into a glass with ice and stir. Enjoy!

What Is Cold Brew Coffee?

Cold brew is made from coffee beans that have been steeped in cold water for 12 to 24 hours, rather like you would when using an oversized tea bag, but using coffee.

It’s time, rather than heat that extracts the flavor, caffeine, and sugars from the coffee beans.

Once it’s done steeping, the grounds are filtered out, leaving you with a coffee-concentrate that can be mixed with milk or water and served over ice.

Because this type of brewing uses time instead of heat to extract the coffee’s oils, sugars and caffeine, the end result is generally less acidic and bitter than iced coffee.

An Easy and Refreshing Drink

For the cold brew, I’ve personally started to keep Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew in the fridge for quick and easy access to an iced coffee!

I actually cannot tell you all how much I LOVE this cold brew! It’s so easy to make and incredibly smooth too.

I used to make cold brew and it was kind of a pain, so I love how you can just quickly drop the already prepared coffee packs into some water overnight and then add a little more water the next day and voila! Perfect for your crazy, hectic mornings and afternoons!

Homemade Simple Syrup

Now, to add in a little Sugar and Charm… we made the perfect homemade lavender and fig simple syrup to subtly sweeten the cold brew.

The simple syrup is really easy to whip up too! Just add your ingredients into a pan and simmer, then rest, then strain – voila!

Add a dash of cream and honestly, this is better than anything you can buy at a coffee house! I promise! It’s also so pretty served with sliced figs. I could definitely drink one of these every day.

Top Tips For Easy Cold Brew Coffee

  • For ease, use a pre-made cold brew mix, such as the delicious Dunkin’ Donuts cold brew pack.
  • Use filtered water.
  • Let your simple syrup infuse for 30 mins before straining.
  • Serve with ice.

Fig and lavender simple syrup? Can you purchase that somewhere or do I combine the two syrups together?
