Great White Rums For A Havana Cocktail

When rum is first distilled it is a clear liquid. To make it ready to be sold, the substance is filtered several times until it is free of impurities. This makes white rum, which is usually aged for a shorter period of time than dark rums, and has a sweet, subtle flavor. It works great in this havana cocktail! Here are some awesome white rums:

  • Brugal 1888
  • Flor De Cana
  • Havana Club
  • Longueteau

Flower Garnish For Cocktails

A flower garnish on a cocktail can really at a wow factor and a sense of freshness, as well as a lovely aromatic dimension to the drink.

Flowers fall into four categories: appearance, taste, texture, and aroma. Try experimenting with different flowers. But make sure they are edible as they’ll be on the drink and also free of pesticides.

Top Tips For A Havana Cocktail

  • Use a good white rum.
  • Shake the mix in a cocktail shaker until the shaker is cold – at least 20 seconds.
  • Use large ice cubes, so they don’t melt as quickly and dilute the drink.
  • Garnish with a flower and an orange twist.
