I will admit I’ve never been the biggest fan of healthy substitutes in desserts unless I can’t tell and it tastes just as good as the “real” thing.

After testing and altering a few recipes for healthy brownies, I’m blown away at how incredibly easy and delicious these gluten-free chocolate fudge brownies are!

You guys, I couldn’t even tell there wasn’t flour and that they were made with olive oil. They were also GONE in about 15 minutes as everyone in my house, including our niece visiting from London, ate them up!

These are perfect for anyone who is gluten free and a great dessert for a gluten free birthday!

Great Tasting, Gluten Free Chocolate Brownies!

These brownies really are delicious, you wouldn’t know they are gluten-free! The dark chocolate and cocoa powder make the brownies rich in chocolate flavor.

This recipe uses 74% dark chocolate and semi sweet chocolate along with a few tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder.

Instead of flour we used almond flour. You can use almond flour or almond meal. The meal will add a little more texture, but the same delicious chocolate flavor.

A Healthy Brownie Recipe

The brownies are sweetened with maple syrup and light brown sugar. I like the option of using maple syrup and a little brown sugar. You could also use coconut sugar instead of brown sugar if you wanted to make them even healthier!

A Super Simple, Gluten Free Chocolate Brownies Recipe!

This recipe is so easy you don’t ever even need to use a gluten free brownie mix!

Most of the ingredients you’ll likely already have in your kitchen, so already off to a good start!

These gluten free chocolate brownies take about 10 minutes to prep and only 15 minutes to bake. Perfect for a quick turnaround party, or last minute treat!

Top Tips For Gluten Free Chocolate Brownies

  • Use room temperature eggs. Cold eggs can result in a denser texture than desired. And, they won’t mix together as easily. Let your eggs sit out of the fridge for a half hour before baking.
  • There are many variables to consider when baking — oven quirks, type of pan you’re using, etc. — that you’ll want to be sure to check your brownies at least five minutes before the recipe says they’ll be done.
  • Most ovens are off temperature-wise. Whether it’s by 25 degrees or more, it makes a difference — especially when it comes to brownies.
  • Know your bakeware. If you’re baking brownies in a metal pan, they will cook faster. In a glass dish, it will take longer.
