How To Serve This Blackberry Margarita Party Punch
You have to serve this margarita punch on ice because it makes such a difference! The ice dilutes it just a tad and makes it super refreshing!
We served them in my new favorite jars, with lids and a straw. You can find vintage-style jars on Urban Outfitters. Unfortunately, they come packaged with some random cocktail kit, but I just gave that away so I could enjoy those jars!!
They’re so cute and a great way to serve your margarita! Add some fresh lime slices and fresh blackberries into the jar with ice, and you’ve got a pretty charming and tasty Blackberry flavor Margarita cocktail!
Blackberry Margarita – An Easy Punch!
A punch is an easy way to dish out drinks at parties. It looks great and doesn’t have you being the unpaid mixologist for the night!
The sweet and sour mix really lifts this blackberry margarita punch up a level, and it’s simple to make, put the ingredients in a saucepan and bring it to a soft boil.
Then, when the sweet and sour mix has cooled, just add it to the rest of the ingredients in a punch bowl, and voila. A 10-minute punch – easy!
What Does Chambord Taste Like?
One of the key ingredients in this blackberry margarita is Chambord, and it works so well in this punch you’ll be using it in all sorts of cocktails!
Chambord is a French cognac-based black raspberry liqueur, “an infusion of the world’s finest raspberries, blackberries…black raspberries, black currant, Madagascar vanilla and cognac,” according to its label.
There are other raspberry liqueurs out there, including generics, but Chambord has long been considered the best. It’s 33 proof, which is not very strong, and deep purple in color.
Chambord has an intense flavor. It’s not quite as sweet as many fruity liqueurs are. The sensation in the mouth is more silky than oily. It feels light rather than heavy. The aftertaste is just raspberry, maybe a hint of vanilla. Delicious!
Top Tips For Blackberry Margarita Party Punch

- Keep leftover sweet and sour mix for future use.
- Use good quality tequila.
What is the Best Tequila for Margaritas?
If you want to make the very best Margarita, you need the best Tequila and luckily there are some great brands that are affordable too!
Choose Patrón Silver. This Tequila offers notes of fruit and agave that complement your Margarita.
You can also choose Herradura Tequila Anejo. It’s a kind of Tequila that boasts of rich citrus flavor with a hint of red pepper. Although, this particular Tequila can be pricy.
A really great-priced Tequila is the Olmeca Altos Plata. It is priced at a very reasonable $25, and it goes well with the Margarita mix. Another reasonably priced Tequila is the Casa Noble Añejo, which is priced at $57.
People often confuse Triple Sec as Tequila when it is actually an orange-flavored liqueur.

Love the glass jars, couldn’t find them on Urban Outfitters, how long ago did you purchase them?
Thank you,
Julie
Thanks, Julie, unfortunately this was about 4 years ago!
Love this. Where did you get the serving glasses? Gorgeous!
Where did you get the mason jars? They are super cute!
Thanks,
Kathy
I actually got them from Urban Outfitters!!
Thanks!
This recipe sounds delicious, but I’m confused as to why there are no blackberries/blackberry-flavored ingredients in a recipe titled Blackberry Margarita Punch. Are some of the ingredients missing?
Haha! Thanks! It is confusing! Chambord is a blackberry liqueur and gives it that sweet blackberry taste!
Chambord is not blackberry flavored. It is a black raspberry flavored French liqueur, hence, my initial confusion.
It actually is black raspberry liqueur… it’s made with black berries and raspberries. We just put blackberry because we garnished with blackberries and switched the name up a bit. On the bottle it says black raspberry liqueur. You can see it on their site here (bottom of the bottle) http://www.chambordchannel.com Also, a link to the recipe they asked me to share here http://www.chambordchannel.com/en-us/cocktail-recipes/how-to-make-a-black-raspberry-margarita/
Your nails! So you.
Haha!! Thanks lady!! They were stick ons and I made the sweet girl who helps me wear them while I took the picture, ahhh!!!
These look so pretty and refreshing! Love the blackberries in here!
Thank you!!
