Mango Mimosa Recipe
Thereโs something about a mango mimosa that instantly transports me to a sunny, tropical morning. The first time I made these, I was hosting a laid-back brunch in my garden, and I wanted something a little different from the traditional orange juice and champagne combo.
I had a bottle of mango nectar in the fridge and decided to give it a try. The result? A vibrant, golden-hued mimosa with a silky texture and a hint of tropical sweetness that paired perfectly with the crisp bubbles of Prosecco.
Since then, itโs become my go-to brunch cocktail, especially when I want to add a little unexpected charm to the table.
Mango Mimosa Ingredients
Mango Juice (or mango nectar): Adds natural sweetness and a smooth tropical flavor to the mimosa.
Prosecco (or Champagne): This adds all the bubbles! You can use Prosecco as well or any bottle of sparkling white wine to keep it light and refreshing.
Spicy candied mango, for garnish (optional): A sweet and spicy touch that enhances the tropical vibe of the drink.
How to Make a Mango Mimosa
- Pour 3 ounces of mango juice into a champagne flute.
- Slowly top with 4 ounces of Prosecco to preserve the bubbles.
- Garnish with a spicy candied mango slice for an extra burst of flavor.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Edenโs Tips & Variations
- Use Fresh Mango Juice: If you have the time, blend fresh mango and strain it for the purest flavor.
- Non-Alcoholic Version: Swap Prosecco for a zero-proof sparkling wine or club soda for a refreshing mocktail. This is how I create my virgin mimosa recipe.
- Try Different Bubbles: Prosecco is my favorite for its light sweetness, but you can also use Champagne for a drier finish or Cava for a budget-friendly option.
- Add a Citrus Twist: A squeeze of lime or a splash of pineapple juice adds a fun, tropical twist.
- Extra Spice: The spicy candied mango garnish brings a little heat that contrasts beautifully with the sweetness of the drink – I highly recommend!
Pitcher of Mango Mimosas
Mix the mango juice and Prosecco in a 1:1.3 ratio and serve immediately to keep the bubbles fresh.
What is the best type of mango juice to use?
Look for 100% mango juice or nectar with no added sugars for the best flavor.
Can I use mango sorbet instead of mango juice?
Yes, you can! It will have a different texture, making the drink slightly thicker, but it’s still so good – especially refreshing for summer!
