An easy recipe for making homemade strawberry lemonade! It’s perfectly sweetened, light and refreshing! Drink it alone or add vodka or tequila to it!

Strawberry lemonade in a jar with strawberries.

This recipe is a summer staple around here. We usually go strawberry picking and then it’s my job to find a clever way to use the strawberries before they go bad!

We made strawberry popsicles, boozy strawberry snow cones, strawberry lemonade pie, strawberry frozé and even strawberry elderflower sorbet.

However, one of my favorite ways to use some of the extra is by adding them to our homemade lemonade and letting them naturally infuse the lemonade.

This adds a touch of strawberry flavor and gives the lemonade a beautiful pink color. It’s a very light and refreshing lemonade recipe. I prefer this method because it’s super easy and doesn’t require any more blenders, pots or pans.

However, you can also quickly puree strawberries to add in as well, but it will be a thicker consistency of lemonade. Adding a little tablespoon of strawberry puree to the infused lemonade also looks pretty and is easy to do.

First, make a batch of our homemade lemonade. It’s pretty simple and if you want to make a large batch double the recipe.

Second, clean the strawberries well and then slice them. Make sure to remove the top. Then add them to the lemonade.

Let the strawberries infuse the lemonade for a few hours, up to 24 hours. The longer they infuse the more strawberry flavor and the pinker the color will become.

Strawberry Lemonade Variations

Once you’ve made your strawberry lemonade here are some other ideas on what you can do with it!

  • Drink it alone on a hot day.
  • Freeze it to make popsicles.
  • Add vodka, gin, or tequila to it for an easy cocktail.
  • Add ice and turn into a frozen slushy!
