This recipe is a summer staple around here. We usually go strawberry picking and then it’s my job to find a clever way to use the strawberries before they go bad!

I made strawberry popsicles, boozy strawberry snow cones, strawberry lemonade pie, strawberry frozé and even strawberry elderflower sorbet.

However, one of my favorite ways to use some of the extras is by adding them to lemonade and letting them naturally infuse it.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Beautifully Pink: The infused strawberries naturally color the lemonade.

Easy to Make: Only a few simple ingredients required!

Naturally Sweet & Refreshing: No artificial flavors, just fresh fruit.

No Blenders or Cooking Needed: Just slice, stir, and let the flavors infuse.

Customizable: Enjoy as is, turn it into a slushy, or make it a cocktail.

Strawberry Lemonade Ingredients

  • Lemonade: Use homemade lemonade for the freshest flavor. This is my favorite lemonade recipe.
  • Fresh Strawberries: Washed, sliced, and ready to infuse the lemonade.

How to Make Strawberry Lemonade

Step 1: Make the Lemonade

Start by preparing a batch of homemade lemonade using freshly squeezed lemons, water, and a sweetener of your choice.

Step 2: Prepare the Strawberries

Wash the strawberries thoroughly, remove the tops, and slice them into thin pieces.

Step 3: Infuse the Lemonade

Add the sliced strawberries to the lemonade and let them infuse for at least 3 hours, or up to 24 hours for a stronger strawberry flavor and a deeper pink hue.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy

Pour over ice and serve chilled. If you’d like, add a spoonful of strawberry purée on top for extra flavor and a pretty presentation.

Eden’s Tips for the Best Strawberry Lemonade

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best natural sweetness.
  • Let the lemonade sit longer for a stronger strawberry flavor.
  • Add a splash of club soda for a fizzy twist.
  • Use frozen strawberries if fresh ones aren’t available – they’ll help chill the lemonade too!

Recipe Variations

  • Frozen Strawberry Lemonade – Blend the lemonade with ice for a slushy version.
  • Strawberry Lemonade Cocktail – Add vodka, gin, or tequila for an adult twist.
  • Strawberry Popsicles – Freeze the lemonade into molds for a refreshing treat.
  • Berry Mix – Add raspberries or blueberries for more fruity flavors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this ahead of time?

Yes! The flavors get even better as the strawberries infuse. Just store it in the fridge and serve within 24 hours.

What sweetener works best for homemade lemonade?

Classic sugar works well, but you can also use honey, agave, or simple syrup.

Can I use store-bought lemonade?

Absolutely! While homemade is best, a high-quality store-bought lemonade works in a pinch.
