Peeps are a classic Easter candy, and what better way to enjoy them as an adult than in a unique cocktail? This easy cocktail is inspired by fluffy marshmallow peeps, which I turned into a delicious, easy Easter brunch cocktail.
The combination of marshmallow vodka and liqueur gives this drink a sweet and creamy flavor that will satisfy any sweet tooth. Plus, the bright colors of the Peeps make for an adorable dessert cocktail that will be a hit at any Easter celebration.
Let’s talk about the star ingredient of this cocktail: marshmallow Peeps. These iconic Easter candies are not only adorable, but they also add a delicious marshmallow flavor to the Peeptini. You can easily find them at any grocery store during spring.
Ingredient Notes and Shopping List
Marshmallow vodka – This has smooth vanilla and caramel flavors. You can also use whipped vodka or vanilla vodka if that’s easier to find.
Marshmallow liqueur – I used Borgata Marshmallow Liqueur, and it was great. You can also use a vanilla liqueur.
Heavy cream – Adds a creamy texture to the drink. You can also use half and half or milk if you prefer.
Sanding sugar – This is fine sugar that you’ll use to make a sugar rim on the glass. Peeps are covered in sugar, so it’s only fitting that the glass is, too.
Peeps marshmallows – The star of the cocktail, this fun garnish is crucial to finishing the drink. You can use any color or shape, but I love the traditional yellow chicks.
Recipe Tips and Variations
- Make sure you shake this cocktail with ice for at least 20 seconds. This will ensure that it is chilled and perfectly mixed.
- For an extra festive touch, you can use different colored sanding sugars on the rim of the glass to match the colors of your peeps.
- If you don’t have marshmallow vodka, you can also use regular vodka and add a splash of vanilla extract for flavor.
- Use a strawberry Cream Liqueur instead of marshmallow for a strawberry flavor.
- Add 1 tsp grenadine and shake it with all the ingredients to make this a pink cocktail.
