Cherry Punch Recipe

I love a good gin and tonic, but sometimes it needs extra flair – especially when entertaining! This Cherry Punch is my take on a cherry gin and tonic punch, effortlessly stunning and incredibly delicious!

The cherry juice adds a rich, deep fruitiness that pairs beautifully with the botanical notes of gin. In contrast, fresh lime juice brightens everything up. It’s light, refreshing, and effortlessly elegant, making it one of my go-to punch recipes for any occasion.

    Cherry Punch Ingredients

Gin: The backbone of the punch, bringing a smooth, botanical depth that pairs beautifully with cherry and citrus.

Cherry Juice: Adds a natural sweetness and vibrant color while enhancing the punch’s fruity flavors. I use tart, pure cherry juice for this recipe.

Lime Juice: Freshly squeezed lime juice brings a tart, citrusy zing that balances  the sweetness.

Tonic Water: Adds a crisp, slightly bitter effervescence that makes this punch extra refreshing.

Cherries & Sliced Limes: The perfect garnish for a pop of color and extra flavor in every sip.

    How to Make Cherry Punch

    1. Combine the gin, cherry juice, and freshly squeezed lime juice in a large punch bowl or pitcher.
    2. Stir well to blend the flavors together.
    3. Add tonic water to keep the punch nice and bubbly before serving.
    4. Fill glasses with ice and pour the punch over, garnishing each with fresh cherries and lime slices.

    Eden’s Recipe Tips

Use quality gin: A good gin makes all the difference! Choose one with bright citrus and floral notes to complement the cherry and lime flavors.

Go organic: You can make this punch entirely organic using organic gin, cherry juice, fresh limes, and high-quality organic tonic water.

Use the best tonic water: I love Fever-Tree and Q Mixers for their clean, crisp taste and perfect bubbles. They enhance the punch and pair beautifully with gin.

Garnish generously: Fresh cherries and lime slices make the punch look gorgeous while adding extra flavor. I also love adding edible flowers for a charming, festive touch.

Batch ahead of time: Mix everything except the tonic ahead of time and refrigerate. Add the tonic just before serving to keep the punch bubbly and refreshing.

No punch bowl, no problem: I love using a large, thick jar as a punch bowl – it looks stunning, keeps everything chilled, and works perfectly for serving a crowd!

    Recipe Variations

Make it a mocktail: Swap out the gin for sparkling water or non-alcoholic gin for a refreshing, booze-free version.

Add a touch of sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter punch, add a simple syrup or honey splash.

Swap the tonic: If you’re not a fan of tonic water, try club soda for a more neutral fizz. You’ll need to add a little sweetener if you do.

Can I make this punch ahead of time?

Yes! Just mix everything except the tonic water and store it in the fridge. Add the tonic and ice right before serving for the best fizz.

What kind of cherry juice should I use?

Look for 100% pure cherry juice without added sugar for the best flavor. Tart cherry juice works great for a tangy kick!

Can I use a different liquor?

Absolutely! Vodka, or tequila can work well as substitutes.

How do I keep the punch cold without watering it down?

Use large ice cubes or freeze some cherry juice into cubes for extra flavor without dilution.
