Fall is officially here, and that means cooler weather, changing leaves, and of course… apple cider! Pair this drink with my apple cider donuts for the best fall treat!

This year, I’m mixing things up with our favorite fall drink – the Apple Cider Spritz. Made with Lillet, lemon juice, apple cider, and Prosecco, this cocktail is light, refreshing, and perfect for sipping on a fabulous autumn day.

There is nothing better than apple cider cocktails during the fall! It’s when the weather is cooling, but you still want a refreshing, spritz drink to enjoy. So I made this apple spritz for those afternoons when you need a good drink.

It’s a great cocktail to serve at a fall festival or even Thanksgiving, as it’s simple to make.

Apple Cider Spritz Shopping List

Lillet Rose – You can use rose or Blanco for this recipe. This sweet liqueur pairs perfectly with apple juice and Prosecco.

Lemon Juice – Freshly squeezed lemon juice is always the best.

Apple Cider – You can find apple cider at most grocery stores.

Prosecco – Use any type of Prosecco for this recipe. It doesn’t need to be fancy. We love Riondo for this.

Bitters – A dash of bitters is what we use for this. We use lavender bitters that taste really good. You can use any bitters you have.

Tips for Making an Apple Cider Spritz

  • This recipe uses about 3 ounces Prosecco, so 1 bottle will give you about 8 drinks.
  • If you want a sweeter drink, add a bit more Lillet Blanc.
  • For a less sweet drink, add more Prosecco.
  • If you want a stronger drink, add more Apple Cider.
  • If you want a weaker drink, add a splash of club soda.

Fall Cocktail Garnishes

One of the best things about making cocktails at home is that you can get creative with the garnishes. For this Apple Cider Spritz, we like to garnish with a slice of orange, lemon or apple. You can even add a cinnamon stick in there for a fall feel.

Here are some more options:

  • Orange Peel
  • Mint Sprigs

What can I use instead of Lillet?

A good alternative to Lillet is St. Germain or an Elderflower Liqueur. You can also use an apple liqueur for this recipe too.

Can I use sparkling white wine instead of Prosecco?

You can use sparkling white wine if you don’t have Prosecco on hand. Prosecco is sweeter and we like it better for this drink as there is no additional sugar added. If you use white wine it will be less sweet.
