Vampire’s Kiss Cocktail Ingredients

This is a fun Halloween cocktail that is easy to make! The full Vampire’s Kiss cocktail recipe is in the recipe card below.

Vodka – For this recipe, Use your favorite plain vodka. For more flavor, you can even use raspberry or vanilla vodka.

Cranberry Juice – Use sweetened cranberry juice. If you use unsweetened cranberry juice, this drink will be very tart and not sweet! You can also use sweetened cherry juice for this recipe.

Chambord – A liqueur available at your local liquor store. If you can’t find it, Crème de cassis is a great alternative.

How to Use Dry Ice

If you want to give the cocktail a spooky vibe, you can add some dry ice to this vampire’s kiss cocktail. Dry ice is a solid form of carbon dioxide. It’s used to create a smoky effect in cocktails.

You can find it at your local grocery store. It’s easy to use and looks so cool! Add small pieces of dry ice to your glass and watch as the smoke billows out. It’s the perfect touch to this Halloween cocktail.

Dry Ice Safety Tips

  • Wait to sip the cocktail until the dry ice has melted and the smoking effect is gone.
  • Dry ice is very cold and can cause burns. Be sure to handle it with gloves and use tongs to place it in your drink.
  • Please do not touch it with your bare hands. Do not put dry ice in a sealed container as it can cause the container to explode.
  • Dry ice will only last a few hours in the freezer, so you have to buy it the day you are going to serve it. It will evaporate in the bag after 1 day!

Expert Tips for Making A Vampire Cocktail

  • Make sure to shake the drink for 20 seconds with ice. This mixes the ingredients and dilutes the cocktail.
  • Add edible glitter if you want a shimmer!
  • If you like a sweeter drink, add a little simple syrup to the drink.
  • Add a little fresh lime juice or lemon juice into the drink for some more tartness.
  • Add a splash of ginger ale for some bubbles.
  • To make this vampire’s kiss cocktail without alcohol, omit the vodka and Chambord. Add a few drops of red food coloring to give it that spooky red color. You can also use cherry juice instead of cranberry.

Add simple syrup for a sweeter cocktail.
Use cherry juice instead of cranberry.
Make sure to shake for 20 seconds with ice?

Make it Ahead of Time:

If you’re making this vampire’s kiss cocktail for a party, you can go ahead and make it beforehand. I love to do this as it saves me time measuring and making a mess during the party.
Multiply the drink by the number of guests, then measure the ingredients and shake in a large cocktail shaker with ice.
Strain the mix into a small pitcher and refrigerate until ready to serve. Add the dry ice just before serving. This drink is best enjoyed within an hour of making it.
