  • Egg White: Creates a frothy layer for that classic sour cocktail look. Optional but highly recommended.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice: Always use freshly squeezed for the best flavor.

Ingredients 

Easy Hibiscus Gin Sour Recipe

  • 1 egg white
  • 3 ounces gin
  • 3/4 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce hibiscus simple syrup, recipe below
  • 1 teaspoon Chambord

Hibiscus Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup dried hibiscus flowers

Instructions

  • The egg white gives the cocktail a frothy layer, but if you want to leave it out you can.
  • Add all of the ingredients in a large cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Shake very hard for 30 seconds.
  • Strain into a small glass over a large ice cube.

Hibiscus Simple Syrup

  • In a small sauce pan, simmer sugar and water until sugar has dissolved. Add in the hibiscus and simmer for another 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit for another 20 minutes if you can!

    Hi!! I really want to make these and am wondering if it’s 1 egg white per drink, or 1 for every 2 servings?? It’s not in the ingredient list so I’m worried I’ll use too much/little and it’ll be weird. Thank you!! These look so amazing.

        The recipe serves 2, so just 1 egg white in the recipe and you’ll get two cocktails. You also don’t have to use egg white if you don’t want. It just makes a frothy top!
