This can’t be easier and it’s all about presentation. To make it unique and personaliozed, add Halloween candy and desserts you love. We went with a purple and black theme and kept everything very dark and moody. However, a colorful Halloween dessert platter would be fabulous too!
Candy, Desserts, and Fruit!
Here is a list of items we used for this board. Don’t forget that fruit is a good, healthier option that can still count as a treat! Fruit and chocolate go great together and of course, caramel apples are a Halloween must.
- Black Licorice
- Blackberry Gummies
- Chocolate Skeletons
- Pocky Sticks
- Halloween Sugar Cookies – You can also make your own!
- Black Raspberry Candies
- Chocolate Cookies
- Chocolate Covered Pecans
- Grapes
- Caramel Apples
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Fresh Blueberries
- Fresh Blackberries
You’ll need a large platter to place all of the yummy treats! Also, grab a few small bowls to add fruit, candy and nuts.
Place the small bowls on the platter first, then larger items like grapes and long licorice. Also, place the caramel apples.
Start layering in cookies and candy until the entire bowl is covered in treats!
Add a few sprinkle eyes to the cookies.
Then place the Halloween dessert platter out for everyone to enjoy.
Caramel Apples
To make the caramel apples we followed our easy caramel recipe! It makes a soft caramel and works great for apples.
Using these charming broomsticks, place the stick into the apple, halfway down.
Next, lay parchment paper on a cookie sheet near the range.
Then, make the caramel and dip each apple into the caramel. Let it drip in the pot before placing it on the parchment paper. You can do two dips for an extra thick caramel layer.
Another great option is making our marble candy apples! You can create a purple and black candy apples that would be so beautiful for Halloween.
Once the platter is filled with treats, you’re done! A super simple to make but such a fun Halloween dessert that is perfect for parties. Make it your own by adding your favorite Halloween candy or homemade desserts to the board.
