Savers is a great place to find unique looks for Halloween costumes and decor! AND all for less, which I’m all about! I scoured our local Savers to create a beautiful Halloween table escape and found the most charming, vintage, one-of-a-kind pieces! It was so much fun and even more so that everything I was picking up was totally affordable, Savers is a family of thrift stores that includes Savers, Value Village, Village des Valeurs and Unique Thrift, boasting over 330 locations throughout the US, Canada and Australia. During Halloween, stores stock their shelves with new packaged costumes, makeup, wigs, accessories and home decor – perfect to combine with the secondhand clothing and accessories. It’s absolutely your one-stop shop for Halloween. Go to the store locators at www.valuevillage.com or www.savers.com to find a thrift store near you.
I went shopping with an overall idea of what I wanted to create, but I didn’t have a color scheme in mind. As soon as my eye landed on the most gorgeous royal blue goblets, I KNEW they would be stunning for Halloween!! Like a black cat, in that dark blue sky look… it all came together in the aisle, haha! I then searched high and low (literally on the shelves!!) for vintage glassware, punch bowls, vases, fabrics, vintage glass decanters and any other royal blue items that I could incorporate. As you can see, I ended up finding so many treasures!
Since Savers has new and secondhand Halloween decorations and costumes, I picked out a few masks, capes, festive jewelry and other brand new items to use as well. I was super impressed with their selection! The fun part was putting it all together for a festive, royal blue Halloween tablescape. We created two delicious and spooky cocktails and had plenty of royal blue candy placed out!
I had Erin make a charming floral arrangement, in the blue vase I found at Savers, and we used peacock feathers to go with the blue theme. We also used the feathers to garnish the cocktails too, which added so much charm! Oh and rock candy makes a great garnish too!
For the apple cider punch, we made an ice ring using sliced apples, blueberries, and cinnamon sticks. I LOVE the way ice rings look in punches! To me, they’re a MUST!
We also used dry ice to add a little spookiness to the drinks and decanters! AND please check out the recipes for our Spiked Sparkling Apple Cider Punch and Royal Blue Cocktail! They’re fantastic! This was such a fun party to pull together and I was so happy I found amazing treasures atSavers!!
