A refreshing strawberry Aperol spritz made with Prosecco and juicy strawberries. It has a fruity flavor and is a fun twist on the classic spritz cocktail.

Aperol spritz is one of our favorite summer cocktails. However, our refreshing fruity twist the strawberry Aperol is perfect for Valentine’s Day. We garnish it with a heart-shaped strawberry, so it is sure to make your special someone feel extra loved! Plus, it’s super easy to make!

If you’re looking for a beautiful Valentines Day cocktail recipe and love a classic cocktail, this drink is for you! A twist on the classic aperol spritz, but this one has fresh muddled strawberries to give it a fruit flavor and beautiful color.

Here are a few bar tools you’ll need to make this recipe:

Ingredient Notes

This recipe uses fresh ingredients and is super simple to make. It’s the perfect twist on the classic!

Aperol – An Italian apertif that is fruity, slightly sweet with bitter flavors.

Strawberries – Fresh strawberries are muddled at the bottom of a cocktail shaker.

Prosecco – An Italian sparkling wine that adds a light sweetness to the cocktail.

Soda Water – Club soda will give it that carbonated bubbly. This recipe uses just a splash of water but it makes a huge difference.

ice Cubes – We like to use pretty ice cubes when making this drink.

How to make a strawberry Aperol Spritz.

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle strawberry slices.
  • Add 1 ounce of the Aperol and shake for 20 seconds. You can add ice to make it extra cold.
  • Strain the strawberry mixture over the top of a wine glass filled with ice.
  • Add the remaining Aperol over the top.
  • Top with Prosecco and sparkling water.
  • Garnish with an orange slice and a cute strawberry heart.

Tips for Making This Drink

Make strawberry hearts by using a small heart shaped cookie cutter large straight down the center of the strawberry.

Don’t forget to add the sparkling water, it gives the drink a refreshing flavor and balances out the cocktail.

The strawberries can be hard to strain, so shake the cocktails trainer to get all of the delicious strawberry juice out.

Use a dehydrated orange slice for a festive look.

Serve it with a straw for easy sipping.

  • 3 large strawberries, fresh
  • 2 ounces Aperol
  • 3 ounces Prosecco
  • 1 ounce club soda
